Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 25, 2026

Scope

This policy describes how Mimose Local handles Google user data for its single owner. Mimose Local is a local desktop application and is not offered to the public.

Data accessed

Mimose Local uses the Gmail API with the gmail.readonly scope to read recent email messages and the information needed to prepare a reply proposal, including sender, reply address, subject, thread and message identifiers, and message content or snippet.

How data is used

Google user data is used only to identify messages that may need attention and to create local reply proposals for the owner. Mimose Local does not use Gmail data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or sale.

Storage and security

OAuth client credentials and tokens are stored in the owner's macOS Keychain. Proposal records are stored locally on the owner's Mac. The current Gmail adapter is read-only and contains no email-send operation.

Sharing

Mimose Local does not sell Google user data or share it with third parties. Google processes OAuth and Gmail API requests under Google's own terms and privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Local proposal records remain until the owner deletes the local state files. The owner can delete stored OAuth credentials from macOS Keychain and revoke Mimose Local's access from the Google Account connections page.

Limited Use

Mimose Local's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
